Down on Nut Street in Eureka Springs

Picture
Soldier Spring. This is about a 6 minute walk from the Cottages on Nut Street. Rumors are that a Civil War Soldier "hid out" in the tiny cave and another rumor is that a couple of Bushwhackers were discovered hiding there and killed in a skirmish.

The Spring runs underground most of the time unless there's a nice long rain. It's a lovely spot with lots of rock bluffs and has never been "dressed up" by the Parks Crew. It's left in   it's natural state and we like it that way.
